McColl & Associates, Inc. presented $6,000 in checks to two local charities:
$3,000 to the Teacher’s Fund to provide grants to public and private elementary school teachers to purchase books, supplies, art materials and other valuable educational tools not covered in the school’s budget.
$3,000 to Cape Fear Community College Foundation to provide scholarships to qualified creative writing students. These scholarships will cover the cost of tuition and books for students who otherwise may be unable to attend.
